The woman was removed from the varicose veins of the lower extremities

Varicose veins are one of the most common diseases among the female population. Significance in the foot, the appearance of spider veins, and then the veins become visible to the naked eye. There are many methods against varicose veins in our time, you just have to choose the right one.

What is varicose veins?

Varicose veins are the dilation of the walls of superficial veins due to venous congestion. As a result, they become sinusoidal, nodular and saccular, which contradicts their ability to perform their physiological function, which signals the need for selection of anti-varicose veins.

There are the following reasons for this problem:

  • For a long time sitting or standing.
  • Wrong way of life.
  • Violation of the vascular valve apparatus.
  • Liver diseases.
  • Long-term physical activity (for example, in athletes).
  • Uncomfortable shoes or uncomfortable tight pants.
  • Hormonal changes (pregnancy, menopause, diabetes).
  • Inheritance.
  • Age after 45 years.
  • Blood clotting disorder.

The disease develops gradually. At first, a "symptom of heavy legs" appears - heaviness in the legs, pain when walking along the veins, swelling, cramps and burning. Single spider veins gradually appear. Soon develops phlebitis - swelling, nodularity and tortuosity of superficial veins. If left untreated, pigmentation spots appear on the skin, the skin becomes shiny, dense, hair is lost - these symptoms indicate dermatitis or formed eczema.

This, at first glance, a harmless disease can lead to complications such as a trophic ulcer, erysipelas (when the infection joins the ulcer), thrombophlebitis, and rupture of the affected vein with subsequent bleeding. Symptomatically it is necessary at the first symptoms to choose a method against varicose veins.

Treatment of varicose veins

Treatment of varicose veins is divided into 2 major groups - therapeutic and surgical.

Therapies for varicose veins are applicable only in the early stages of the disease, and there are several types. One of them is compression therapy - wearing special underwear (socks, sweater, bandage with short and medium length) during the day. This allows you to give extra tone to the varicose veins and slow down the progression of the disease.

Therapeutic gymnastics - walking, swimming, light leg exercises (cycling, toe raising, bending and stretching at the knee and hip joints) will improve microcirculation, and massage (pneumomassage and lymphatic drainage) will improve blood flow. It's a good idea to supplement these methods with diet therapy, which will help you lose excess weight if a person with a diagnosis of varicose veins has it.

Several groups of drugs are used against varicose veins - they eliminate inflammation from the affected blood vessels, help restore venous wall tone, improve blood properties and normalize microcirculation, and also provide normal lymphatic drainage.

Against varicose veins in the legs, oils and gels with mucopolysaccharide of a polysulfuric acid ester are actively used. They allow you to break down blood clots in the vessels and prevent such a frightening complication as thromboembolism.

Surgical intervention involves many different techniques, which are chosen by the attending physician, based on the individual parameters of the patient.

Reception against varicose veins

When "heavy foot symptoms" appear, it is best to immediately take preventive measures that will slow down the process and significantly improve the quality of life:

  • Wear special underwear when spider veins appear, especially during pregnancy.
  • Therapeutic gymnastics at every opportunity, especially with a sedentary lifestyle.
  • A contrast shower on your feet at the end of the day.
  • Wear comfortable shoes and clothing.
  • Correction of nutrition in order to reduce weight and prevent constipation.
  • Sleep with your legs raised to improve venous return.

If you follow preventive measures against varicose veins, you can avoid various complications, surgical interventions, and also maintain the health of your veins for many years.
